Helping Students Succeed
United Way of Olmsted County's Running Start for School is a community-wide backpack and school supply drive to ensure that every child in our community is prepared to succeed in school. This year, we provided needed supplies to more than 2,000 students enrolled in participating schools across Olmsted County. To achieve our goal, we rely on the community to get involved by donating, hosting a collection, volunteering, and encouraging others to help our children and youth reach their potential in school and the community.
Donate
Running Start for School relies on in-kind donations from generous community members to ensure that every child in Olmsted County has the tools they need to succeed in school. We typically host collection bins at local businesses, agencies, religious institutions, etc. United Way of Olmsted County is dedicated to the safety of our community members and though we would love to accept community donations, those who choose to support our program can do by following the information below:
- To donate supplies to our program, please review our online registry once it is posted in June 2021.
- We have given out our supplies for 2020, but we are happy to help receive your donation to support our Education programs
