Program: Participate in Rochester on Tour at the state capitol
Date: March 8, 2012 Join Women’s Leadership Council members as we put advocacy into action as part of Rochester on Tour on March 8, 2012. This day of activity will provide a special opportunity to network and participate as a citizen and community member. As part of a contingent of Women’s Leadership Council members, this event provides an opportunity to be an advocate for United Way. (Rochester on Tour is organized by the Rochester Chamber of Commerce.) A past attendee shares this: “Rochester On Tour is the best way to meet Rochester. You will feel part of the culture and diversity of Rochester and Minnesota. It’s an ideal networking opportunity. You’ll meet business owners, city officials, school board members, politicians, and Rochester citizens. It’s a must attend annual event.” - Michelle Babcock Rochester on Tour includes: 10:30 – 11:30 am Registration and Networking 11:30 – 12:30 pm Luncheon at Event Center 12:45 pm Buses leave for Capitol - Rochester Trivia games - Prizes 2:00 -5 pm Legislative appointments 2:15 pm Rally 2:45 pm Leave for Tours and sessions - Capitol and James J. Hill House 3:00 – 4:00 pm Tours and sessions (Tours on the hour) 4:45 pm Buses start shuttles to reception 5-7 pm Reception – Innovation Showcase at Neighborhood House (food is provided) Buses should arrive back in Rochester between 8:30 – 9 pm Cost: $40for the entire day (including lunch and bus) Final Day to register March 2 RSVP to: rd@uwolmsted.org |
