Thanks for supporting the Community Winter Outerwear Program!
This year's drive and distribution were a success. We'd like to thank our 50 Community Partners who worked with the United Way of Olmsted County to collect coats and other winter outerwear, as well as nearly 200 Community Volunteers who made this program possible!
Thank you for helping to keep our community warmer this winter!!!
Winter OuterWear Initiative
Winter in Minnesota can be very long and cold. When a person lacks warm winter outerwear, it can seem even longer and colder! Our goal is to provide 3,000 individuals with winter outerwear this year!
The Winter OuterWear Initiative partners include: United Way of Olmsted County, Cumulus Broadcasting (KROC AM and FM), Dison's Cleaners, Mayo Clinic's Ways of Caring committee and The Salvation Army.
Purpose
The Winter OuterWear Initiative provides winter outerwear items to Olmsted County individuals and families who have no other means to get winter outerwear items. The number of items distributed will be based on the number of items collected through our community partnership.
