United Way of Olmsted County takes a broad, integrated approach to advocacy that provides you with opportunities for issues education, community engagement, public advocacy, and citizen action.Advocacy is: Wearing the LIVE UNITED t-shirt or button. Letting your friends, neighbors, and colleagues know you support United Way. Sharing with them the Imagination Library, Running Start for School, or Winter Outerwear. Advocacy is also: Participating in public discussions that have a substantial influence on the availability and delivery of human services in our community is fundamental to United Way of Olmsted County’s ability to achieve community impact. United Way of Olmsted County's mission bringing together the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to identify new and innovative solutions to ensure that the needs of all community members are adequately considered and addressed. In the realm of public policy, United Way of Olmsted County must stay current on legislation, regulatory standards, and other governments policies and programs that enhance or impede our goals and mission. United of Olmsted County is committed to non-partisan, outcome-based policies that further the goals established by our volunteers. United Way of Olmsted County does not endorse candidates for office.
